Deposits form when exhaust temperature stays low and when fluid drifts out of specification. Most operators need the standard product. Stop start fleets and part load gensets sometimes need more, so we formulate that on request.

The compliant product, with no additives, which is what the standard requires. Correct for the large majority of vehicles, and the right choice where OEM warranty conditions apply.

For duty cycles with persistently low exhaust temperature, we blend an anti-crystallisation formulation to order. It is a separate specialty product, not standard AUS32, so confirm suitability with your vehicle manufacturer before using it under warranty.

What is AdBlue / Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)?
AdBlue, DEF and AUS32 refer to a high-purity 32.5% urea solution in deionized water used by SCR systems to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines.
Is PROTICKS DEF compatible with BS-VI vehicles?
Yes. It is intended for modern diesel vehicles that use SCR technology, including BS-IV and BS-VI applications, and is made to meet ISO 22241 and IS 17042 requirements.
What happens if my vehicle runs out of AdBlue?
Engine performance may be reduced and modern vehicles may prevent restart until the dedicated AdBlue tank is refilled.
Can I pour AdBlue into the diesel fuel tank?
No. DEF belongs only in the dedicated DEF/AdBlue tank. Mixing DEF with diesel can cause serious vehicle damage.
What are the storage guidelines and shelf life?
Store sealed, shaded and ventilated between -6 C and 30 C where practical. Shelf life is up to 12 months under standard sealed storage.
What causes urea crystallisation in an SCR system?
Deposits form when exhaust temperature is too low for urea to convert fully, and the risk rises when fluid is out of specification or contaminated. Standard AUS32 to ISO 22241 contains no chemical additives, because the standard does not allow them. Where a duty cycle genuinely needs more, PROTICKS blends an anti-crystallisation formulation to order as a separate specialty product. Check suitability with your vehicle manufacturer before using any additised fluid under warranty.
